Miss International (official name: Miss International Beauty Pageant), was born in the United States, in Long Beach, California in 1960.

Since then, it has developed a wide range of exchanges, under the slogan "correct understanding of Japan in the international community" and "the realization of world peace through mutual understanding", as an international contribution business.

Between 1968-1970, the beauty pageant was held in Japan commemorating the Osaka World Exposition. The 1968 pageant, which was extremely well received, was held at the Nippon Budokan and featured the Ginza parade from Hibiya Park to Nipponbashi. As a consequence, after 1972, the pageant has been held in Japan, and by organizing pre-contest events in China, a country showing a remarkable economic growth, in 2008 during the Beijing Olympics, and in 2010, during the Shanghai World Expo, at the Chengdu Hall, it has secured its place as the core of international goodwill enterprises.

In 2004 and 2006 it was held in Beijing, and once again in China, this time in Chengdu, Sichuan from 2009 to 2011, as part of the reconstruction support for the areas affected by the Sichuan earthquake. After that, the contest was held in Okinawa in 2012, and in Tokyo in 2013. It has played an important role in advertising tourism in Japan, by widening the circle of goodwill activities of each country's representative.

In addition, Miss International established the "Miss International Fund" which donates money to underprivileged children around the world, through Unicef and other charity institutions. Also, the Japan representatives take part every year in tree-planting activities, known under the name of "Green Campaign", aimed at protecting the natural environment.

Through this kind of continuous philanthropic activities, the beauty pageant is aiming at becoming more than a beauty contest, an actual opportunity for the participants to improve their inner selves, through proactively contributing to the international community and international exchanges.

This year, once again, representatives from more than 65 countries and regions gather in Tokyo to become the new "Beauty goodwill ambassadors"!

Once again, the passionate and dynamic participants will write a new page in "Miss International Beauty Pageant"'s history.

国际小姐世界大会是全球三大顶级赛事之一。创办于1960年美国加利福亚洲长滩，至今已经成功举办54届。大赛组织自1968年以后移至日本，由日本外务省接管，自此“国际小姐世界大会”也成为全球唯一一个国家级行为的选美赛事。 

国际小姐世界大会不仅仅是单纯的选美，更是立志于为国际社会做贡献，是来自全世界的女性们参加的“佳丽盛典”。她们认同“国际小姐世界大会”的理念，旨在加强女性对国际社会的贡献。

全球１２０多个国家与地区组成的专业支持网络，形成最公平、最专业、最权威的顶级赛事。一年一度选派选手参与国际小姐世界大会被世界各国视之为重要的国家级活动，因而国际小姐世界大会博得了美丽奥林匹克美誉。 

中国大赛介绍

国际小姐中国大赛旨在评选“中国小姐”，代表中国参加一年一度的国际小姐全球总决赛。中国小姐是东方女性的代表，与各国佳丽一起站在国际舞台上，展现中华民族博大精深的文化底蕴、秀外慧中的东方气质。

国际小姐中国大赛自华夏时代传媒公司承办以来，在中国连连创下了历届中国赛事之最，如：开设省级分赛区最多、参赛选手素质最高、全国参与赛事的人数最多、全国关注赛事的网民最多、参与报道的新闻媒体规格最高，在历届全球总决赛中“中国小姐”取得的成绩最好。

2010年中国小姐袁思怡来自湖北纺织大学，凭借自己出色的表现获得国际小姐全球总决赛季军以及最佳人气单项奖，创下历史成绩最好。

2011年中国小姐白雪玉婷来自中央民族大学，身怀超群舞艺的她，在11月成都国际舞台，荣获最佳才艺奖。

2012年国际小姐中国大赛牵手中国赤峰第七届红山文化节。有着诸多殊荣的张程程荣获“中国小姐”称号。 

2013年刚参加完第53届国际小姐全球总决赛的中国小姐金莺,近日当选“汉族之花”,作为汉族代表参加在北京举行的第三届民族之花选拔活动,充分展示汉族女性魅力。

2014年8月30日，来自内蒙古的威力斯摘得桂冠，当选第54届“中国小姐”。威力斯就读于内蒙古大学新闻出版系，是一位多才多艺、内外兼修的气质才女。

中国大赛历史

2006年第46届“国际小姐”首次登陆中国，在北京怀柔举办。

2009年、2010年、2011年国际小姐世界大会数度登陆中国具有“选秀之都”的四川成都。

2012年国际小姐中国大赛落户赤峰，牵手第七届红山文化节。

2014年第54届国际小姐中国大赛总决赛在北京星光影视园华美落幕。

2010年至2019年，华夏时代传媒买断中国大赛十年承办权，负责中国市场的运营与执行。这是中国的经济发展带动了文化的宽容和审美的宽容，为弘扬先进美德文化、发展慈善和公益事业，推动人类和平、友爱进步发挥着至关重要的作用。
