TED PAUSE 2017：TED 演讲会场设计竞赛

DBR（DESIGN BUILD RESEARCH）发起的PAUSE设计竞赛今年与TED 2017“‘The future you”主题演讲共同合作。今年的TED演讲主题将更加明确的针对于个人（个体思维），竞赛提出的问题是：个体的空间是什么样子的？独立或完全私密？开放或者封闭？我们如何设计一个关于教育、人性、令人舒适和兴奋的环境和体验？
DBR（DESIGN BUILD RESEARCH）是一个关于设计和建造的非营利性的学校机构，作为倡导社会变革的代理人。在过去的三年中，DBR的学生为TED演讲者创造了独特的会场，每个会场建筑的设都为DBR的交流提供了宝贵的遗产，并未TED演讲的主旨起到了提升作用。
为完善TED演讲的主题含义，DBR提出了PAUSE设计竞赛，演讲会场将是关于个体精神的反思。在森林，在城市中（创建）一个中止（PAUSE）空间，一个能够引发思考、集聚合交流的地方，参与者与用户在此相遇，提升场所与体验的个性，同时也要尊重和认同周边的环境，这些都是咋设计中需要考虑核解决的问题。竞赛的挑战是创造一个空间反映个体与他人在一起共同呼吸，共同分享体验。对过去、现在和将来的反思，让中止（PAUSE）空间来连接TED演讲者和提问者。

二、竞赛内容

       会场设计选址位于温哥华会议中心的西太平洋露台，场地图纸资料可在官网下载，会场将考虑使用木制构造，更多要求详见任务书。

三、参赛资格

       本竞赛对30岁以下或毕业三年内的建筑学、工程学或设计学的从业人员以及相关专业的全日制大学生开放。

四、时间安排

       成果提交截止日期：2017年1月1日；

       结果公布：2017年1月；

       设计深化与建造：2017年1月—4月；

       TED2017演讲：2017年4月24日—28日。

五、奖赏

       获胜者将获得：

       TED2017演讲现场的邀请；

       从北美机场到温哥华的机票；

       在设计建造和演讲期间工10天的住宿；

       设计作品在TED2017演讲期间展出。

 

TED2017 CONFERENCE PASS

1.ELIGIBLE ENTRANTS

Open to all full-time post-secondary students or young professionals (verification of student or graduation status may be requested at any time). Directed towards students of Architecture, Engineering and Design.

Entrant must be available in Vancouver the 10 days leading up to TED2017 to assist in the build and install (refer to timeline).

Team or Individual submissions are accepted. However, the winning prize remains the same and is unable to be split between two or more individuals.

3.JUDGING CRITERIA

Criteria for the judging of submissions will include:

Creative and Innovative use of wood in the design solution.

Strength of concept and storytelling through design, elevating the user experience in both contexts

Demonstration of the design’s ability to be fabricated and assembled.

Successful response to the design guidelines and submission requirements.

All submissions will be judged anonymously.
