2016年西安科技大学首届模拟联合国大会竞赛

西安科技大学模拟联合国大会竞赛是由教务处、人文与外国语学院主办，西安科技大学模拟联合国协会承办的校际英语演讲赛事。模拟联合国大会竞赛旨在为大学生提供一个开拓国际视野、培养思辨精神、锻炼外交谈判及英语口语表达能力的平台。参会选手通过熟悉联合国等多边议事机构的运作方式、基础国际关系与外交知识，了解世界发展趋势对未来的影响以及自身在未来可能发挥的作用。

一、参赛对象

全校有正式学籍的在校本科生均可报名参加。

二、比赛时间、地点

2016年5月20日至22日（具体地点将以会务通告形式发给各位选手）。

三、比赛形式

       在模拟联合国大会竞赛中学生们扮演不同国家的外交代表，以英文为工作语言，参与围绕国际上的热点问题召开的会议。代表们遵循议事规则，在会议主席团的主持下，通过演讲来阐述观点，为了“国家利益”辩论、磋商、游说。他们与友好的国家沟通协作，解决冲突；通过写作决议草案和投票表决来推进国际问题的解决。

四、奖项设置

        两个委员会分别设置Best Delegation（最佳代表团）一项，Outstanding Delegation（杰出代表团）两项，Honorable Mentioned（荣誉提名）两项，Best Position Paper（最佳背景文件）一项，Best Roll Play（最佳外交风采奖）一项。参与同学均获得Certificate of Participation（参会证明）一份。

五、活动细则

1. 对于有意向参会，但又对模拟联合国大会制度不甚了解的学生，会务组将提前对报名学生进行培训指导。

2. 本次大会为“双代表”制度，需要两人为一组搭档方可报名。选手可以跨学院跨年级自由组合报名。

3. 本次大会分为两个委员会，每个委员会将会讨论不同的议题，请学生选择感兴趣的议题报名。

请选手以两人一组搭档为单位，仔细阅读活动细则，将报名表（附件）填好后发至邮箱:xustmun2016@163.com，并在邮件的主题注明“校内+学生姓名一+学生姓名二”。报名截止时间为2016年4月30日。

Committee: The United Nations Human Rights Council

Topic: Protecting Human Rights Against Discrimination Based on the LGBT Issue

UNHRC, an inter-governmental body within the United Nations system responsible for giving strength to the protection as well as promotion of human rights around the globe and for addressing situations of human rights violations and make recommendations on them. It has been only over the last several years that the question of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender(LGBT) people was formally broached with the HRC due to its perception as a controversial and sensitive topic.

People provide much more focus on LGBT issue since June 2015, nationwide license and recognize marriage between same-sex couples on account of the Supreme Court decision is publicized in the United States. This term we are going to advance the discussion in relation to the LGBT issue and universal human rights around the world. We are sincerely looking forward to more thorough communication and international cooperation based on this pressing issue.

Topic: Privacy Security of the Information Era

With the coming of rapid development of computer technology and information era, to seek the balance among the right to know, freedom of information and the privacy in the internet is the basic principle. In foreign countries, the debate about information technology and privacy began in early 1960s.

with the development of networking technology ,the living space of human is expanded, hence, the protection of personal privacy in network has been challenged. So a variety of personal information protection legislation in today major developed countries and more advanced regions reflected.

This term we are going to advance the discussion in the privacy security of the information era all over the world. we are sincerely hope to more information include the laws, the status quo, the reasonable solutions and so on.
